Wolf's theme

Reflection:
This was a very successful piece of music, I enjoyed a lot but I also improved many skills, but this time mostly on keyboard. This time I used the same rhythm ( 1 and 2 and 3.... also called sub dividing) to complete the piece of music. I also learned sharps and flats as they were part of my song.
This will be very helpful while developing other pieces of music. Now I believe that I can easily play any peace of music and without any support. I love playing on the pianos and would love to continue. Piano's are the best.

Peters theme

Reflection:
I improved many more skills than last time, this time i improved dragging the video to the beginning of the track as i didn't need any help, i also improved mixing it down to WMV. I also improved my rhythm, to complete this piece of  music my rhythm was 1 AND 2 AND 3 AND 4 AND 1 AND 2.....( sub dividing) this was very helpful as I could easily find out how long my beat is. One other major improvement was that I started to learn the letters on the keyboard, this helped me a lot as I didn't have to keep on looking on the keyboard to find out which note it is before playing the beat. I believe that I am improving excellently, one more fact is that I really enjoy pianos now and my favourite song/ rhythm is peters theme. Now, pianos are my favorite instrument to play.

Reflection for Hunters Theme Mixcraft

Reflection:
This was my first time to play on the piano and i believe it was very successful. To complete this beat we had a paper with all the notes and the order that we have to play it in. Our teacher ( Mrs. Cross) directed us with the places of the notes on the keyboard, after we mastered the piece of music, we then had to edit it on Mixcraft. Below here is the order of editing the piece of music on Mixcraft:

Step 1: Open this Icon
Step 2: Click on the purple icon
Step 3: Open Videos in Mixcraft (it’s on the top left). Go to desktop. Films Folder. Peter and the wolf.
Step 4: Drag the video to the beginning of the track (NB: Keep the audio and the video). Look for the Step 5: Look for where the peter and the wolf audio is.
Step 6: put the courser where you want the video to begin and end.
Step 7: Record using the metronome click (turn on and off by clicking on the picture) to make sure your rhythm is 100%
Step 8: Click on the BPM to slow down the tempo/speed if necessary
Step 9: ARM means you are ready to record-you will need to switch this on-it doesn’t do it automaticly!
Step 10: edit it
Step 11: File-save as-desktop-grade 7
Step 12: File-mix down to- WMV-Desktop-Grade 7

I believe that i was very successful and hope to continue on this level till the end!!!

My instruments research

What are the four families of orchestra and how are they categorized?

The four families of the orchestra are: Brass, Percussion, Strings and Woodwinds.
The brass family:
Brass instruments include the trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn, cornet and bugle. They are made of brass or some other type of metal. Modern brass instruments produce sound through a metal mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is similar on most brass instruments. Sound is produced by placing the lips on the mouthpiece and blowing while vibrating the lips. The larger the mouthpiece, the lower the sound of the instrument.
The percussion family:
Percussion instruments include the drums, cymbals, triangle, tam-tam, bells, glockenspiel and the xylophone. Percussion instruments are made of wood, plastic or metal. Most percussion instruments make there sound after they are hit, others make sounds when they are shacked, rubbed or scratched.
The strings family:
String instruments include the violin, guitar, electric bass, viola, cello, harp, double bass and banjo. The bodies of the string instruments are made of different type of wood and the strings are made of nylon or steel. Stringed instruments make produce their sound from the vibrating strings.
The woodwinds family:
Woodwind instruments include the flute, clarinet, recorder, piccolo, bassoon and oboe. Woodwind instruments are made out of wood, they produce their sound by blowing air into a mouthpiece which then causes a reed, or reeds, to vibrate and this is how it makes the sound.
